data decay
A downloadable game for Windows
You think you're hacking a system. But what if the system has already hacked you?
ABOUT THE GAME
Data Decay is a hardcore hacker simulator in a retro terminal style with elements of psychological horror.
You take on the role of an elite hacker operating in the shadows of corporate giants. Your goal is to infiltrate secure nodes, steal data, and sell it on the black market.
But remember: in this network, every action leaves a trace, and the police and corporate AIs show no mercy.
Dynamic Wanted System: The more you steal, the more they hunt you. Use the WIPE command and build proxy chains to throw off their trail before the SWAT team even sounds outside.
Corporate Targets "TOP": Hunt down V-CORP-level giants. These hacks require instant reactions and the deciphering of complex keys in real time. One wrong character and you're discovered.
Hidden Plot: Behind ordinary lines of code lie fragments of a terrifying truth. Project "AETERNA" facility #402, strange system glitches... Can you figure out what's really happening before your sanity plummets?

Listen, the project really caught my attention with its atmosphere; it reminded me of old-school hacking simulators. It's clear he poured his heart into the interface and the small details. But I'll be honest about the gameplay: right now, some of the hacking mechanics feel too repetitive; there's a lack of challenge or dynamism to keep the interest alive after half an hour. It would be great to add more variety in the methods of completion. It's great to see you evolving. I've been following your work with Arrogant Seller, so I just couldn't pass this project by. It's great that you're not standing still and experimenting with genres. I hope you polish the gameplay to perfection. Good luck!
